Word of God
We believe that the
Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original
manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe it
has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The Trinity
We believe that there
is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons. These three
persons are equal in every divine perfection and they execute distinct, but
harmonious office in the work of creation, providence and redemption.
God the Father
We believe in God the
Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and
love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully with the affairs of
humankind, that He hears and answers prayers, and that He saves from sin and
death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus
Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in
His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His
substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven,
perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.
The
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy
Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin,
righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who
believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within every
believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding help, teacher and guide.
Regeneration
We believe that all
men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under
condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in
Jesus Christ as Saviour are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
The Church
We believe in the
universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and
all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church,
consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible
profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We
believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary
task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.
Christian Conduct
We believe that
Christians should live for the glory of God and well-being of their
neighbours; that their conduct should be blameless before the world; that
they should be faithful stewards of their possessions, and that they should
seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in
Christ.
The Last Things
We believe in the
personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the
establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body,
the final judgment, the eternal felicity of the righteous and the endless
suffering of the wicked.
Over the last few
years, in Canada, non-profit organizations have been under greater scrutiny
from watchdog agencies. Increased public awareness has led donors to
research in greater depth the institutions they support.
Financial and ethical
integrity has always stood at the very core of all Children o Hope
practices. We subscribe to and follow the high standards defined by the
Canadian Council of Christian Charities. We demonstrate and highly value
accountability to our sponsors and donors.
When you decide to
sponsor a child with Children of Hope the $28 per month you give is
carefully managed. Less then 5% of your gift is used for promotional
material and costs. This means that you will not receive a constant stream
of letters and promotion from us. You will receive only the essential
things. This allows us to direct 95% of the funds to the care of the
child.

Dear Friend,
What an amazing
privilege it is for me to be direct a group of people who want to bring hope

of Hope's child sponsorship program. This Web site is all about providing
you with the information you need to make an informed decision concerning

We pray that

experience for you. We assure you it will have a momentous impact on the
life of a child.
Who would have guessed that a business man who became a
Picture Christian later in life would be used by God to start an
organization which would help children in desperate need? Especially if
you add to the equation the fact this guy had never gone outside his
Canadian province and never traveled east of Toronto.
But that is what makes
this story of Kitt Morris and the creation of Children of Hope so amazing.
Kitt Morris had become a follower of Christ after years of hard living. And
when he become a Christian he followed Christ with the same passion he had
in pursuing selfish pleasures.

The vision was born at
Sunday Night missionary service. The evening message had been focused on
church planting and evangelism. As the missionary was concluding his
comments he mentioned the plight of young girls in Indonesia whose parents
could not afford to send them to school. Many of these girls were sold in
marriage or they end up on the streets. Often those girls who were sold in
marriage were used and abused or put out of the home.
When the service was
over the missionary’s words kept going over and over in Kitts mind. He
stayed up that night to pray. He did not find peace until he prayed and
said, “Lord if you want me to do something about it, I am willing!”
Then Kitt prayed that
God would show him that if he was to do respond God’s call God would help
guide and provide. Within a day $10,000.00 was given to help him.
So Kitt who had never
left Ontario, contacted the missionary. He shared with him what he felt God
had called him to do. The missionary invited him to come to Indonesia in
order to see the need first hand and meet with people who could help bring
hope to needy children.
Within six months of
having felt he had to do something Kitt had visited Indonesia. He saw the
need first hand and developed a partnership with several local church
leaders. The need was so very immense! His biggest challenge in front
of him was not to find children to help but to find sponsors?
Over the next four
years Kitt told everyone he could about the need and invited them to help
him care for the kids. The response was limited. The total number of kids
helped was growing too slowly for Kitt. He longed to see the thousands and
thousands of kids who desperately needed help receive the gift of hope.
Working alone with just word of mouth promotion and few pictures of kids who
needed help was just not enough.
So in order to help
more children, Kitt reached out to Loads of Love for assistance. In 2005
an executive formed and a volunteer team came together. The name was
changed from Kitt’s Kids to Children of Hope.

Children of Hope is
scheduled to launch in April 2006. The wonderful thing is all the kids
cared for under Kitt’s Kids will continue to be cared for but the potential
of helping thousands more is truly very real.
